Duty of candour
The Care Inspectorate requires all registered services to provide an annual report setting out whether there have been any incidents that have been of a serious nature and that have triggered the Duty of Candour. In the reporting year April 2024 to April 2025 there have been no such incidents.
Health and social care standards
All registered services are expected to meet the standards set out in the Scottish Government: Health and Social Care Standards: My Support, My Life (2017). Our service will be inspected against these standards.
SSSC
The Scottish Social Services Council is the regulatory body for practitioners for the day care of children. All our staff are required to register with the SSSC within three months of starting in their post.
All employees are expected to meet the standards of practice set out in the SSSC Code of Practice (employees). The service is expected to meet the standards of practice set out in the SSSC Code of Practice (employers).
The team undertakes mandatory training in Child Protection, Food Hygiene and First Aid. They receive annual appraisals and supervision and continue to develop their practice through relevant training.
PVG
All employees are PVG checked prior to their starting employment with us. College students that are on placement are also PVG checked with Disclosure Scotland before beginning placements. Students are always supervised by a member of the team throughout their placement.
